Our Mission

The Fox River Valley Initiative is a network of civic institutions working together to strengthen our communities and improve the quality of life for families across Kane County. We build public relationships, identify shared challenges, develop local leaders, and take collective democratic action.

We are a broad-based, nonpartisan, multi-issue organization dedicated to building relational power.

We assisted in getting 1212 Larkin established

Mental Health

FRVI has promoted mental health through police training, crisis stabilization units and opioid treatment training.

Gun Safety

FRVI enlisted the Kane Co Sheriff Dept to test biometric safety locks for hand guns and rifles.
